How To Not Be Sued

Can it really be coming up for a month of this course already? This is going so fast, which is both a good thing and bad thing all at the same time. I try not to list all the things I need to achieve - I would only freak myself out and surely inspire a stress induced meltdown! I finally feel as if I am getting to a stage of understanding where to take a couple of articles for Prime Opps, so that is a step in the right direction. I am still suffering from the attacks of the sleepiness, but in all truth, is that ever going to stop?

Last week we started to look at media law, something which I actually found incredibly interesting. To a certain extent, it is training to avoid being sued, which was sobering and darkly humorous in unison. The fact that Ade used multiple real life examples of lawsuits and who won what, meant that we could see exactly how the law is used and not just in principles. Being told that the law works in particular ways is fair enough, but it can often be confusing if you cannot see it being worked out.

Fast forward a few days and we are right in the midst of the crazy rush to write articles and features for Prime Opps. I've finally found a better way of doing my placement, in that, I will spend those allotted two weeks doing catch-up with re-subs (and that I really do need). At the end of the course I will then try and find a placement. That I think will work far better.

Of course by now we are all very very very stressed. It's a balance of good VS bad stress, but with the work I've been doing over the last couple of days its not going too badly. I managed to find a story, which if it works out could be really interesting, and there is a certain kind of joy that comes from finding a story all by yourself and being encouraged to run with it.

I almost forgot... We had a shorthand speed test. God knows how that went. We had a media law exam too. I'm not sure about that one. I feel like I remembered more then I thought I would, but I'm fairly certain there were some big mistakes in there too. But as a mock, it should help to see what I need to crack down on and revise.

So... Still surviving and still powering through....
