We spent the morning searching for news stories to add to our online publication, Go Apprentice, the launch date getting closer and closer by the minute.. Only ten days left! Some of us frantically took to the phones, whilst others scoured the internet for possible stories we could bang 50+ words out on.
I think it's safe to say we've all come into our own. Whilst I personally struggled at concept of writing short and sweet news, this course has given me the confidence to realise that I can actually write un-embellished, to-the-point pieces (despite having to have a few stray away words of 'puff' subbed out by Roberta!)
After lunch, we began on subbing. Some were a bit tentative of giving constructive criticism to each other, scared to offend yet others basked in the power that came with holding a red pen.
It would be an understatement to say we were a little curious about our forthcoming placements. Roberta has refused to give us any hints as to which publication we are to be working with but there is not long left, the excitement is at its highest!
