Editing Film

The second day of video production was spent on the edit. It was a whole day of discussions about what clips to use and not to use. The tricky part wasn't using the software, as Imovie is pretty idiot proof, but working with others to agree on how to do it. I expect I am the guilty difficult party here - far too used to making my own decisions and therefore getting my own way if I am honest. I'd say it was a lesson in compromise, and ultimately patience in going over the same material to refine it an insane number of times (essentially cutting down 50 mins of material to 2 mins). We were proud of the end result though. It is a good feeling when you play it back on the screen - I can understand the addiction film-makers get to seeing their work up on the big screen.
