Subbing and cockapoos

The title of this blog pretty much sums up my day, but I probably should say a little bit more in explanation...

Today was the second day of subbing. One of my articles (the one on the world's rarest sheep, which I have probably mentioned in an earlier blog post) was produced with a flourish by Keith and handed around the class for everyone to destroy. By which I mean sub.

I don't think I'm the world's most natural sub and the hot weather probably wasn't helping as I have found my concentration drifting off very easily over the past two days.

Keith kindly let us have the afternoon off to ring people up for the gazillion articles we have to research and write. One of the features we have to write is a general composite feature and I have chosen to write mine on crossbreed dogs. I chose this topic because it was literally the fluffiest topic I could think of and I felt like I needed a break from high brow topics. So I have been on the phone for the past two days to dog enthusiasts. Dog enthusiasts are also generally happy to rabbit on about their dogs too which makes a nice change from the more surly people I have had to deal with. There are some crazy crossbreeds out there like cockapoos (cocker spaniel and poodle) puggles (pugs and beagles) and labradoodles. And I've really enjoyed looking at cute puppy pictures for ahem *research*.

Anyway I thought I would end by sharing the crossbreed love.
