Light at the end of the tunnel

It's less than two weeks to go until we're all fully qualified journalists. It's both exciting and daunting. Exciting because I finally feel confident about what I can do. Daunting because I have to convince other people to be confident in what I can do and give me a REAL job.

Placement has been fun so far, although I'm strangely missing the PMA fever. I've been begging for more work. Who'd have thought it?

With our exams approaching and the incessant features deadlines, I've been very well-behaved this weekend and have spent the evenings sheltered away from the outside world. There's nothing more uplifting than writing an obituary late on a friday evening with only a bottle of wine for company. I must say, the more lubricated I get, the more I consider my chances for that Pulitzer prize.

And yes, I still really want to be a journalist. I best get back to that Pulitzer prize-winning feature...
