Practice makes perfect

Eat, sleep, work - those are the three words that describe my life at the moment.

But working at Restaurant magazine is great.  Walking through the front door, I never felt nervous. While writing news and features, I have felt confident enough to tackle the copy, even though I didn't know much about the restaurant industry.

Apart from being accused by a general manager of trying to catch him out after asking a few general questions, I feel that putting my skills into practice has been nothing less than a valuable experience.

From learning the ins and outs of chicory to writing about new restaurant openings and new products, I feel that copy has become my new middle name for this past fortnight.

And who knew that so many journalists rock up to work in loungewear?!

Until next time,
